For festival & market traders

Work the festival,not the queue

Food or drinks, customers scan your QR and order from the field, the dancefloor or the back of the line. A fresh menu for every event, daily stock that sells out cleanly, and a code by SMS or WhatsApp when the order is ready.

Three ways to take an order, one place to run them

Mobile, kiosk, and walk-in all land in the same live board and the same kitchen queue. Mix and match per event - the console doesn't care how the order came in.

Order from anywhere

Customers scan your QR, browse and pay from their phone - from the queue, a picnic blanket or across the field. The accept-before-pay flow keeps you in control.

Let the counter order itself

Stand a tablet on the counter and customers place and pay for their own orders while your hands stay on the food. Ordering and your live queue, on one device.

Counter walk-in

Ring up a regular in seconds

Punch in a walk-up order yourself - no QR needed. It skips straight to the kitchen, takes payment however you like, and can run as a dine-in tab.

Built for a busy weekend

The bits that earn their keep when it gets loud.

Traders serving from a food truck while guests eat at long tables in front of a stage

Point the queue, not the chaos

Name your pickup points (Bar 1, Bar 2, left tent) and every code tells the customer exactly where to fetch their order. Servers pull the next one at their own lane, so one crowd at one counter becomes smaller lines that sort themselves out.

A fresh menu for every event

Build a menu once, then switch on the right one for each market or festival. Run weekend pricing for the event without touching your everyday prices, and flip back on Monday.

Sell out, cleanly

Set a daily limit on what you prepped. When the doughnuts are gone they come off the menu on their own, so you never take an order you cannot make.

Fair, first-paid-first-cooked

Every paid order lands on one screen in the exact order it paid. No lost tickets, no loudest-customer-wins, just a queue your whole team can read across the stall.

One board for phone and counter

Walk-ups you ring up yourself join the same queue as the phone orders, so the person at the front of your stall and the one ordering from the field are served in the order they paid.

A customer checking her phone on a bench away from the stall while she waits

Call the code, not the crowd

When the order is up, the customer gets their collection code by WhatsApp. If WhatsApp cannot get through in a packed field, an SMS follows, so the message lands even with no data.

Kitchen Display System

Your kitchen, on one screen

Retire the paper tickets and the shouting. Run a tablet per station for a busy line, or merge everything onto one screen when it's just you in the truck.

Fair FIFO queue

Sorted by the moment payment cleared - first paid, first cooked.

Combos by station

Patty to the grill, chips to the fryer, drink to the bar. Automatically.

One-tap sold out

Mark an item off and it vanishes from the customer menu instantly.

Never miss a ticket

Sound alerts and big, glanceable codes you can read across the stall.

On the day

What changes when the queue does not

Sell past the length of your queue

A physical line only moves as fast as one person can pay. Ordering ahead has no such cap, so the people who would have glanced at the queue and walked on order anyway.

One screen runs the pass

Orders arrive in strict first-paid-first-cooked order, and a combo splits itself across the stations: the patty to the grill, the chips to the fryer, the drink to the drinks station.

Know what each plate earns

Attach a recipe to a dish and YesChef knows what it costs you to make. The Accounting report shows gross profit per item, so you price from your real costs instead of a feeling.

If you organise a festival or market, we can group your food vendors under one link visitors order from. One QR for your posters, tickets, and socials.

The questions every trader asks

Yes. The Commis plan costs nothing and has no time limit. You get the full ordering engine - mobile QR ordering, the live order board, walk-ins, your menu, and payments - so you can take real, paid orders without paying us a cent for the software. Upgrade only when you want the kitchen display, stock, reporting, and staff tools.
Your customer pays it - a flat R8 per order added to mobile and online orders they place and pay for themselves. The full amount, fee included, settles straight into your own Yoco, SnapScan, iKhokha, Zapper or Paystack account. Once a month we invoice you, in arrears, for the fees we're owed. You're never out of pocket and you never wait for a payout from us.
Immediately, into your own payment account, on your payment partner's normal settlement schedule (typically about two business days). YesChef never holds your funds - the money is always yours first.
No. The vendor portal and kitchen display run in the browser on the phone or tablet you already own. Keep using your existing card machine for walk-up cash customers - YesChef adds an ordering channel, it doesn't replace your setup.
Walk-in orders you ring up at the counter carry no per-order fee at all. The per-order fee only applies to mobile and online orders that a customer places and pays for themselves.
Yes. Move between plans whenever you like, and there is no lock-in period and no cancellation fee. Downgrade to the free Commis plan in your quiet season and step back up when the festival circuit starts again.
